LeasePace

LEASE MILEAGE TRACKER

Privacy Policy

EFFECTIVE DATE — JUNE 28, 2026 · LAST UPDATED — AUGUST 1, 2026

The short version: LeasePace keeps your data on your own devices and in your own private iCloud account. We do not collect it, we cannot see it, and we do not operate any servers that receive it.

LeasePace is developed by Verntro Labs, LLC ("we," "us," or "the developer"). The short version: LeasePace keeps your data on your own devices and in your own private iCloud account. We do not collect it, we cannot see it, and we do not operate any servers that receive it.

Information the app handles

  • Lease and vehicle information you enter — vehicle name, lease start date, lease term, mileage allowance, starting odometer, overage fee, and the odometer readings you log.
  • Location data — if, and only if, you enable "Driving reminders." The app uses location changes to detect when you have finished a drive so it can remind you to log your mileage.
  • Motion and fitness data — if you enable "Driving reminders," the app uses motion data to confirm that recent movement was driving (rather than walking) before sending a reminder.
  • Purchase status — whether you have unlocked the one-time "LeasePace Pro" upgrade.

How your information is stored and used

  • On your device. All lease and odometer data is stored locally using Apple's SwiftData framework.
  • In your private iCloud. If you are signed in to iCloud, your data syncs across your own devices through Apple's CloudKit using your personal iCloud account. This data lives in your private iCloud database. The developer has no access to it and no ability to read it.
  • Location and motion stay on your device. They are read on-device solely to detect a drive and trigger a local reminder. This data is never transmitted to the developer or to any third party.
  • Purchases. In-app purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never receive or store your payment card details.

What we do not do

  • We do not collect, sell, rent, or share your personal information.
  • We do not operate any servers that receive your data.
  • We do not use analytics, advertising, tracking, or any third-party SDKs.
  • We do not build user profiles or track you across apps or websites.

The only network activity LeasePace performs is Apple's iCloud sync to your own iCloud account and Apple's standard in-app purchase processing.

Information Apple provides to us

As the app's developer, Apple makes limited aggregated and anonymised reporting available to us through App Store Connect. This is the only information about your use of the app that reaches us, and we want to be plain about it. It may include:

  • Sales and download reports — aggregate counts of downloads and purchases by territory and date. These do not identify individual users.
  • Aggregate app analytics — statistics such as impressions, downloads, sessions and retention. Apple provides these only in aggregated, anonymised form, and only for users who have consented to share analytics with developers in iOS Settings.
  • Crash and diagnostic reports — shared with us only if you have opted in to "Share With App Developers" under iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements. These describe technical conditions such as where the app stopped working. They do not identify you and they do not contain your vehicles, odometer readings, or location.

We use this solely to understand overall usage and to fix bugs. We cannot use it to identify you, and we do not attempt to. You can stop sharing analytics and crash data at any time in iOS Settings.

Third-party services

LeasePace relies only on Apple platform services that act on your behalf:

  • Apple iCloud / CloudKit — to sync your data across your own devices, under your own Apple ID. Governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
  • Apple App Store / StoreKit — to process the optional one-time purchase.

Your choices and controls

  • Location and motion: Enable or disable "Driving reminders" anytime in Lease Settings, and change or revoke permissions anytime in iOS Settings. The app remains fully functional without them.
  • Deleting your data: Delete a vehicle (and its entries) inside the app to remove it from your devices and iCloud. Deleting the app removes its local data from that device. Manage or delete iCloud data through iOS Settings and your Apple ID.

Data retention

Because your data is stored on your device and in your private iCloud, it is retained until you delete it. We do not hold copies and therefore cannot retain or delete data on your behalf.

Your rights (GDPR / CCPA and similar laws)

Privacy laws such as the GDPR and the CCPA give you rights to access, correct, and delete your personal data, and to know whether it is sold or shared. Because the developer does not collect, receive, store, or sell any of your personal information, there is no developer-held data to access, port, or delete, and we do not sell or share personal information. You remain in direct control of your own data on your device and in your iCloud account.

Children's privacy

LeasePace is a general-audience utility and is not directed to children under 13. The app does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above and posting the revised policy here.
